Lynette Kay Massie, was born May 21, 1970 in Lansing, Michigan to Dennis Lee and Janet Ann (Firman) Massie and passed away on December 20, 2015 at the age of 45. She graduated from East Lansing High School and Lansing Community College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Lynette won the Sarah Tarppoff Award. She loved unicorns, light houses, reading, enjoyed traveling/camping, writing poetry and was a private person. Her son Cole became her whole life. Lynette was preceded in death by father. Surviving to cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Raymond and Janet Whittaker; son, Cole French; siblings, Paul (Cathy) Massie, Monique (Ken) Elliott, and Nicole Ophaug; step siblings, Laura (Loren) Adams, William (Betty Jo) Whittaker, Didi Wargo, Sharron Whittaker, and Jim (Leslie) Whittaker; friend, Shawn Folstad; and several nephews and nieces.
