Life Story & Comments:
I went to Miami University in Ohio for undergrad, graduating in 1992. I then attended Harvard Medical School. I went backpacking around Europe after my 1st year of medical school, visiting England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Germany. During medical school, I spent some time in Guatemala doing medical care, learning Spanish, and traveling. After finishing medical school in 1997, I completed my residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Boston, finishing in 2000. Since residency, I have been doing primary care pediatrics. Initially, I worked in private practice. However, when I started a family, I worked as a locums (float) doctor for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates for about 6 years. I am currently back to working as a Primary Care Pediatrician in Medford, Massachusetts at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates for the last 5 years. I just recently started teaching again, currently a preceptor for a 3rd year medical student from Tufts Medical School. I have two boys, Gavin & Ryan, who are now 12 & 14, entering 7th and 9th grades. We also have a dog (Bailey) and a cat (Simba). I still love to travel and sing.
